Recently I've been thinking about vampirism (since that's the only thing I am) and i've put some thought into it.
Compared to humans and werewolves, it seems they are kind of underpowered
To put it simply, I think vampires are heavily underpowered.
With full Iron armor, a stick does about 4 hearts of damage. And a player hits say about 1.75 times a second.
So that's about 12 hearts within 2.5 seconds
Werewolves get hyper-speed, super strength and incredible boost.
Of course this is temporary, it still is , compared to vampires, a massive boost.
They can do it pretty much anytime they want, they are immune to the sun and get a huge resistance against silver later on, which is also a pain to get compared to sticks.
Humans easily are ripped apart, but they still have sticks and enchanted wood swords and whatnot.
Werewolves take incredible amounts of damage outside or inside of their state.
and let's face it
1.2 * damage on 7, a diamond sword, is only 8.4 (which is massively blocked by wolves and humans with armor) So we look towards...
about 5 (3 seconds) hits on a person with iron armor, which doesn't sound like a lot, until you realise with a wood sword, the easiest in the game to get, that's about 10.5 hearts a SECOND compared to diamonds.
With all this math, I think it would be a little more fair, and get the vampire race more populated compared to their alternative of werewolf.
Bloodlust is nice, but that eats about 2 hunger points a second out of 18, then you can't run, fight or attack without being a sitting duck (ESPECIALLY since the only way to obtain blood from mobs is by animals).
Don't even get me started on holy-water.
I simply ask for a change on the vampire strength to be a little more fair for the costs they have.
Somewhere around 1.7 or so for regular, and 2.3 for bloodlust to even things out a little more.
